Historical Green Tree Pythons

On this page we will display images and information about some of our past animals.

These animals are no longer in the collection.

Female ID# "Snow Cone" owned by Greg Schroeder and loaned to us during 2006.

Female ID# 96027

Hatched in 1996 at Signal Herpetoculture Dam  92001 Sire  92002.

The male MJYLO was introduced to this female during December 2000 through mid February 2001.  The male showed little to no interest in this female so no further introductions were attempted.

This female was sent to a friend in June of 2001 to be bred to a Lemon Tree male.  The male showed lots of interest and many copulations were seen.  She layed her very first clutch in the fall but unfortunatly all 34 eggs were infertile.  Not much weight was lost in the effort and she has regained her condition rapidly.  We'll try again in 2002 and see what happens.

Well this female was again bred to the Lemon Tree male owned by Greg Schroeder in 2003.  She layed a clutch of 40 eggs on 27 September 2003.  Unfortunatly, only 10 appear fertile at the time of oviposition.  Click here to see pictures of the pair and the clutch.

This female was again bred to Greg Schroeder's Lemon Tree male in 2005.  This year 10 offspring were hatched from a clutch.  One offspring survived only for a short time.  The remaining 9 hatchlings were split between the two parties.  Click here to see pictures of the offspring.

Female ID# 02091

Hatched here 8 July 2002.

Dam:  EA9501      Sire:  96016

This female was paired with a Biak type male in 2009.  A large but poor clutch was laid on 1 April 09.  Click here to see images of the female and clutch.

This female died on 22 April 2009 from complications with egg laying.

Female ID# 03031

Produced by Trooper Walsh in 2003.

Dam:  "Big Bird"   O.S. High yellow line.

Sire:  "Old Yeller"

This girl was being bred by our PNGxLemon male, 05051, in 2008.  Unfortunately she died on 30 May 08 with two developing eggs in her oviducts.  Below are some images of the necropsy.

Male ID# "Blue Max"

This incredible male was on loan to us from Greg Gibbs.

He was paired with female 00111 in 2005 and produced 17 incredible offspring.  Click here to view images of the female and the clutch.

The image below is provided by Greg Gibbs.

Female ID# 00014

Produced in 2000 at Signal Herpetoculture.

Dam - 97051    Sire -  96007

This girl was bred for the first time in 2005.  She was paired with male 99096 and produced a nice clutch of offspring.  Click here to view images of the clutch.

This female is being paired with a Merauke 50% possible het albino male owned by Trooper Walsh in 2008.

This female laid an infertile clutch in 2009.

We have bred this female with one of her half brothers, 99026, in 2010.  Hopefully some of the nice white of their mutual sire, 96007, will come through in the offspring.  It appears that she has ovulated over 8 and 9 June.  It appears as though she laid part of her clutch on 19 July 2010.  Unfortunately it looks like she is still retaining some eggs so we will most likely the remaining eggs will need to be surgically removed.

Male ID# 01017

Dam:  EA9604   Sire: 96004

This male was produced here at Signal Herpetoculture in 2001.

He is being bred to a PNG line female 96013 in 2008.  A small clutch was produced but only one neonate hatched.  It failed to survive.

This male is being bred to a Manokwari type female 07135 in 2010.

Female ID# 03005

Sire: "Glaser" line owned by Dr. Guido Westhoff, CBB 1997.

Dam: Biak female owned by Dr. Guido Westhoff, CBB 1996.

We acquired this female in 2003 from Mark Twigg of Arboreals Plus.  This animal was part of a group of 6 neonates imported by Mark from Dr. Westhoff's 2001 pairing of the above animals.  As you can see by the sire the Glaser line is known for it's high blue animals.  The parents of the sire were a high blue Sorong-type male and a pure Biak-type female.

We paired this female with our "Carolina" 02152 line male in 2006 in hopes of producing some high blue animals from this line again.  Unfortunately this female produced a nice size clutch but with only one fertile egg.  Below are images of the neonate.

Female ID# 03088

Produced on 26 April 2003 by Ed Bradley.

This female is being bred to the Black Headed Kofiau (Canary) male, ID# 06013, in 2009.  A clutch of 22 eggs was laid on 29 April 09.  Click here to view images of the female and her clutch.

Female ID# 03119

Farmed Indonesian import Wamena type.

This is a classic Wamena type specimen.  She is currently out on loan and we hope to see offspring from her in 2009.

Male ID# 04158

Produced in July 2004 by Michael Hance from pairing an imported Biak type female to an imported Cyclop type male.

We are pairing him with a High Yellow line female, EA0312, in 2007.

The 2007 pairing didn't take so we are trying again with the same female.  Hopefully the male is now mature and ready.

We are pairing him with a Kofiau female, 05028, in 2008.

Died in 2010.

Female ID# 00109

Hatched in 2000 by Mike Jarvis

Dam: Sorong    Sire: PNG line

This female is being bred with male "Blue Max" (pictured below), owned by Greg Gibbs, in 2004.

This female was bred with Greg Gibbs male Biak Outcross in 2005.  Click here to view images of the offspring.

This female was bred to our Merauke Outcross which was produced by Trooper Walsh and is a possible heterozygous albino.  Click here to view images of the clutch.

We are attempting to repeat the 2005 pairing with the Greg Gibbs male Biak Outcross.  Unfortunately, this female laid a clutch of 25 eggs but only three were properly shelled and they did not develop.

OK, one more time we are attempting to repeat the 2005 pairing with the Greg Gibbs male Biak Outcross.   She laid a decent size clutch of 22 egg's on 10 Feb 2009.  Unfortunately only 6 or 7 appear fertile.  With a little luck we'll get a few more outstanding neo's.  This clutch is due to hatch late March.

Died June 2010.

Female ID# 04150

Indonesian Import

This female is a young adult and I'm hoping to try a breeding project with her in 2006.

She is being paired with the male 04156 in spring of 2006.  Below is an image of the pair copulating.

Ovulation occurred in late May.  We hope to have eggs laid around the second week of July.  Below are a couple images of the ovulation.

This female is being paired with male 06013 in 2008.  This male is on loan to us from Gary Schiavino.  Copulations are occurring frequently and we are hoping for another nice clutch from this pairing.  This female ovulated on 15 April 2008.  Below is are images of the copulation and ovulation.  A clutch of 19 eggs was laid on 28 May 2008.  Click here for images of the female and her clutch.

In 2009 we are repeating the pairing from 2007 using male 05031.

Female ID# 05015

Indonesian Import

This animal was originally acquired by a friend of ours as an imported highland (Lereh) type.  We acquired her in 2005 to add to our group of highland type animals.

This girl was bred to two males in 2006.  We started pairing her in January with a highland male, 02143, but soon removed him to use as a back up male with another project.  We then introduced a Biak male, 99151, in hopes of producing some interesting crosses.  She laid a clutch of 19 eggs + 2 pea size slugs on 21 July 2006.  At the time of laying only 4 eggs appear fertile.  Unfortunately we may not know the exact parentage of the offspring.  Click here to view images of the female and eggs.

This female was bred to a Cyclop type male 04154 in 2007.  She laid a clutch of 28 eggs on 5 June 2007.  At the time of laying 26 appear fertile.  Click here to view images of the female and her clutch.

We are pairing her again with male 04154 in 2010.  She laid an infertile clutch on 3 July 2010.

This female is being paired with male 06013 in 2008.  This male is on loan to us from Gary Schiavino.   15 Eggs laid 21 June 2008.  Only 6 appear to be developing.  Two neonates emerged 7 August 08.   Below are images of the neonates.

This female is being paired with a locality cross (Biak x Cyclop) male, ID# 04158, in 2009.  Click here for images of the female and her clutch.

She died from complications with a respiratory infection in 2009.

Female ID# 05030

Indonesian Import

We hope to be able to pair her in spring 2007.  No eggs or offspring were produced by this female in 2007.

This female is being paired with male 05031 in 2008.  Both animals remain a brilliant yellow and we are hoping for an exceptional clutch from them.  This female laid a clutch of 16 eggs on 23 May 08.  Unfortunately, most of the eggs were laid in the water bowl.  The eggs were immediately removed and set out to dry.  At this time the eggs still appear to be doing well and we are hoping to at least hatch a few.

This female is being paired with the Black Headed male, ID# 06013, in 2009.  She laid a clutch of 17 eggs on 11 June 2009.  Click here for images of the female and her clutch.

Female ID# 05022

Dam: Shade     Sire: 05188

This girl was produced as part of a breeding loan with Chris Haight.  Unfortunately the dam (Shade) didn't survive long after laying her clutch but she has six surviving offspring.  Hopefully they will contribute nicely to the future of melanistic (high black) green tree pythons.  Click here to see some of her siblings.

Unfortunately this female died suddenly in October 2010.

Female ID# 09001
